Following breakfast, your journey into the wild continues with a transfer to Lamai Airstrip at 07:30. Board your flight to Rubondo Island, departing at 09:30 and arriving at 10:45. This remote destination in the southwest of Lake Victoria is one of Africa's most untouched wilderness sanctuaries, a place where rainforest meets the water's edge. Upon landing, a short 15-minute drive brings you to Rubondo Island Camp, the only luxury lodge on the entire island, ensuring an atmosphere of absolute seclusion.
The camp is designed to immerse you in its unique ecosystem, featuring lakeside cottages positioned among thick forest and quiet, cobalt-blue bays. After checking in, take time to relax and absorb the stillness of the lake before your afternoon activities begin.
