This morning, we will journey northwards to Chaouen (Chefchaouen in the Berber language), one of the most beautiful towns in the Rif Mountains. Nestled within this mountain massif—the last natural rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula—Chaouen is renowned for its serene medina, shady valleys, whitewashed houses with blue doors, wrought-iron windows, and tiled roofs.
Take your time to enjoy this charming city, which has preserved the rich art and traditions of Arab-Andalusian heritage. We will explore the medina and stroll through the local markets of Chaouen, lively with traditionally dressed inhabitants and vibrant displays of colorful goods.
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Fez, the oldest of Morocco’s Imperial Cities, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. We begin in Fez el-Bali (Old Fez), strolling through its labyrinthine medina and admiring the remarkable Hispano-Moorish architecture of the Al-Attarine and Bou Inania Medersas (Koranic Universities), the Nejjarine Fountain Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.
We will also visit the historic Karaouine Mosque before enjoying a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local restaurant within the medina.
In the afternoon, we continue exploring the bustling medina, stopping at coppersmith workshops, carpet boutiques, and leather shops—where you may request a visit to their traditional tannery.
Depart for Erfoud, traveling through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, passing the charming ski resort of Ifrane and the important handicraft center of Azrou. We will stop in Midelt for lunch before continuing toward Erfoud via Errachidia and the scenic Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and known as the source of Erfoud’s annual date festival—a three-day celebration held every October following the date harvest.
Upon arrival in Erfoud, transfer to a 4x4 Land Cruiser (4–5 guests per vehicle) and continue to Merzouga. Check in to your hotel by the sand dunes, where dinner and an overnight stay await.
Early this morning, embark on a jeep excursion to witness the sunrise over the magnificent sand dunes of Merzouga. After this unforgettable experience, return to the hotel for breakfast before we continue our journey southward.
We depart for Rissani, the holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty, is buried. Here, we will visit the 17th-century kasbah and the ruins of Ksar Abbar. Our route then takes us to Tinghir via the Tinjdad road, where we will explore the breathtaking Todgha Canyons, with rock walls soaring up to 250 meters high.
We will make a photo stop at the Dades Canyons before continuing to Ouarzazate along the famed Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and through the Dades Valley, renowned for its roses and home to the annual Rose Festival held each May.
Visit the kasbahs of Taourirt and Tiffeltout before continuing to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most spectacular kasbah in southern Morocco. This iconic fortress has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy lunch on a terrace overlooking the kasbah, taking in the stunning scenery.
Afterward, we continue our journey to Marrakech, traveling through the dramatic landscapes of the Tichka Pass in the heart of the Atlas Mountain range.
Enjoy a full-day tour of Marrakech, the second-oldest Imperial City and affectionately known as the “Pearl of the South.” Our visits include the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the majestic Koutoubia Minaret, and the Dar Si Said Museum—officially the Museum of Moroccan Arts—which houses antiques, weapons, and some of the oldest artifacts in Marrakech.
We then explore the Jardin Majorelle, one of the most visited sites in Morocco. Created over 40 years of passion by French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886–1962), this enchanting garden later came under the care of Yves Saint Laurent and his partner.
In the afternoon, wander through the bustling souks and handicraft quarters, filled with an array of traditional crafts and souvenirs. Conclude the day at the vibrant Djemâa El Fna square, an open-air spectacle alive with vendors, musicians, acrobats, storytellers, and snake charmers.
Head west toward the Atlantic Ocean to the charming fishing town of Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador. Once a Portuguese stronghold, the town is renowned for its exceptional woodcarving craftsmanship. Historically, Essaouira played a vital role in maritime trade, serving as a link between Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. A rich multicultural spirit thrives here, where diverse ethnic and religious communities live harmoniously, and French and Arab influences are beautifully reflected in the medina’s architecture.
Enjoy a fresh fish lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is free for you to explore the medina at your own pace and discover for yourself why it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today, we return to Casablanca along the scenic coastal road. En route, we make a brief stop in Safi, a former Portuguese fortress renowned for its pottery artistry. We then continue to Oualidia for lunch, enjoying stunning views of its picturesque bay. Next, we visit El Jadida and explore the famous Citadel, a lasting reminder of the Portuguese presence in the 16th century.
Upon arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city, we embark on an orientation tour of the economic capital, driving through Mohammed V Square, the Central Market, the Habbous district, and the residential neighborhoods of Anfa and Ain Diab. Our visit includes the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, where part of the floor is made of glass, allowing worshippers to kneel directly over the sea (a privilege reserved for royalty). The mosque is also home to the tallest minaret in the world.
