This morning, we leave Queenstown for Historic Arrowtown, a charming gold-rush village by the Arrow River. We then visit the Kawarau Bridge Bungy Centre, the birthplace of bungy jumping, where guests may try a jump at their own expense or watch from the viewing decks. Next, we stop at Mrs Jones Fruit Orchard to sample and purchase fresh or dried fruits, nuts, and honey, and, if time permits, wander through the rose gardens. We continue to the famous “That Wanaka Tree” for photos and some free time at Lake Wanaka before driving to Twizel after lunch. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and relax before dinner.
