DAY 1 Arrive In Tashkent

Your journey begins the moment you land in Uzbekistan, a country where ancient tradition and modern life sit side by side. On arrival at Tashkent's international airport you are met by our team and transferred to your hotel, where check-in is available from 14:00, allowing time to settle and ease gently into the rhythm of Central Asia. The Wyndham Tashkent stands in the central part of the city, with dining at the Turkuaz restaurant, a café and bar, 24-hour front desk, room service and Wi-Fi throughout. DAY 2 Islamic Heritage & Chorsu Bazaar

After breakfast at the hotel, you meet your professional local guide in the lobby and begin a full day's discovery of Tashkent, a city where Islamic heritage, Soviet history and rapid modern development sit side by side. The morning belongs to the Khast Imam Complex, the spiritual heart of the city and home to sacred Islamic relics, where your guide sets the religious and architectural context for everything that follows. Within and beside it you visit the Barak-Khan Madrasah, a sixteenth-century architectural masterpiece of tiled portals and quiet courtyards, and the Tilla Sheikh Mosque, peaceful and historically significant. The morning closes at the Islamic Civilization Center, a modern architectural landmark dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of Islamic civilisation in Central Asia — together, a deep understanding of both the historical roots and the contemporary interpretation of Islamic culture in Uzbekistan.

Lunch is your gastronomic introduction to the country, taken at a carefully chosen restaurant such as Caravan, Lali or Beshqozon, each with its own atmosphere and accomplished local and international cooking.

DAY 3 Shah-i-Zinda & Registan By Night

An early breakfast at your hotel in Tashkent sets the day in motion before the transfer to the railway station, where the high-speed train departs at 08:00 and arrives in Samarkand at 10:25 in business class. Should train tickets prove unavailable, a comfortable private vehicle is arranged instead, covering 306 km in approximately 4.5 hours; a domestic business-class flight is a further alternative. Either way you are met by driver and local guide, and the journey marks your transition from modern capital life into the legendary Silk Road city of Samarkand.

On arrival you meet your local guide and transfer to the Hilton Samarkand Regency, a modern five-star hotel within the Silk Road Samarkand complex, for check-in and a short rest. Rooms run from roughly 35 to 70 square metres, elegantly appointed with air conditioning, soundproofing, minibar, safe and work desk, and many look out over the city; there is a wellness and spa centre with indoor pool, fitness room and sauna, alongside restaurants serving international and local cuisine, a lobby bar and concierge. Lunch is taken at Karimbek or Platan, celebrated addresses for refined Uzbek gastronomy.

Evening brings a national folklore show of traditional music, dance and costume within the historic Sher-Dor Madrasah, followed immediately by the laser light show at Registan.

DAY 4 Konigil Crafts & Plov Master Class

After breakfast you meet your guide and leave the usual tourist routes behind, heading out to Konigil Village, one of the most authentic craft settlements near Samarkand. The morning opens gently here, with traditional Uzbek bread — non — drawn fresh from the tandoor, and a true Uzbek breakfast of local sweets and kaymak, the thick clotted cream that Samarkand households have served for generations.

Konigil is where you watch ancient production techniques still in daily use: handmade paper produced by traditional methods from mulberry bark, and natural oil and flour processed by water-powered mechanisms turning on the stream. In the same village you step into the workshops of local artisans, watching skilled craftsmen shape clay on the wheel before taking part in a hands-on pottery master class of your own. You then try your hand at painting miniature designs onto finished ceramics — a souvenir made by you, not bought. This is direct participation in centuries-old traditions rather than observation from the sidelines.

Lunch is an exclusive culinary experience, fully included: a private, hands-on plov master class led by skilled local chefs, where you learn the art of Uzbekistan's most iconic dish.

DAY 5 Sufi Sanctuaries & Summer Palaces

After breakfast in Samarkand, you transfer to the railway station for the journey deeper into Central Asia, bound for Bukhara — among the most sacred and atmospheric of the Silk Road cities. The preferred arrangement is the high-speed train in business class, the Afrosiyob or Sharq service; should tickets be unavailable, a comfortable private car transfer covers a distance of 270 km in approximately 4 hours. Either way the landscapes shift as you travel, fertile valleys giving way gradually to desert horizons, a fitting prelude to the city ahead. On arrival you are met by your local guide and taken to your hotel in the city.

The afternoon moves from imperial elegance to spiritual depth. Your exploration begins at Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa Palace, the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, where Eastern craftsmanship meets Russian and European architectural influence across mirrored halls, painted ceilings and quiet garden courts. You continue to the Bahauddin Naqshband Complex, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Islamic world, dedicated to the founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order and still a place of genuine devotion. Then to the Fayzulla Khodjaev House Museum, the preserved home of a significant political and cultural figure, its rooms reflecting domestic life in early twentieth-century Bukhara.

DAY 6 Old City Walk & Folklore Night

Your guide meets you after breakfast for a walking tour of the historic heart of Bukhara, a UNESCO-listed old city that functions as an open-air museum, where every stone carries centuries of Silk Road history. You begin at the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, the cultural heart of the old town gathered around its peaceful historic pond, then continue to the Magoki-Attori Mosque, among the oldest surviving mosques in Central Asia. The Chor Minor Madrasah follows, a hidden architectural gem crowned by four distinctive towers, before you wander the traditional trade domes — the covered bazaars once filled with silk, spices and jewellery for merchants crossing the continent.

Lunch is taken in one of the city's atmospheric settings, at Old Bukhara Restaurant, Labi Hovuz or Chinar, where historic architecture and intimate courtyards frame a culinary heritage shaped over centuries. The afternoon turns to Bukhara's monumental legacy: the Kalyan Minaret, the legendary Tower of Death and enduring symbol of the city, alongside the grand Kalyan Mosque and the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, still an active centre of Islamic learning.

DAY 7 Uzbek Family Kitchen & Tashkent Return

Your final morning in Bukhara begins gently, with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before the day turns away from monuments and museums towards something more personal. Today you step into the living culture of Uzbekistan, welcomed into a local family home in traditional style — a genuine Uzbek household rather than a staged setting, where the warmth of the welcome sets the tone for everything that follows.

Inside, conversation turns to daily life, family traditions and the codes of hospitality that shape them, and you are drawn in rather than simply shown around. The centrepiece is a hands-on master class in traditional Uzbek cooking, working alongside your hosts as dishes are assembled, seasoned and set to cook, before everyone sits down together. Lunch is taken at the guest house, in the same friendly and intimate atmosphere, shared with the family whose kitchen you have just borrowed.

In the afternoon you transfer to the railway station for the journey to the capital, departing at 15:03 and arriving at 19:17 aboard the high-speed train in business class — a smooth, comfortable run across the country. Should train tickets prove unavailable, an alternative domestic flight from Bukhara to Tashkent is arranged, with business class seating subject to availability.

At the scheduled time, our representative will meet you in the hotel lobby and accompany you on a comfortable transfer to the international airport of Tashkent for your departure flight, seeing you through to check-in so that the last stage of the arrangements is as unhurried as the first. Tashkent is the largest city in Central Asia and, as its principal air gateway, the natural point at which a journey through the region draws to a close.
